What kind of data about you do we process

Personal Information

The only Personal Information we retain is your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone No
  • Email address
  • Registration Number of vehicles and VIN numbers
  • MOT and Service reminder dates
  • Account references
  • Any financing arrangements for car sales are handled by Close Bros., who act on our behalf and RGL do not keep any records once the introduction has been completed

Vehicle Information

The information we retain about your vehicle enables us to order the correct parts when repairs are necessary

Third Party Agencies

Occasionally we employ the service of debt collecting agency and therefore share/provide account details which enable us to recover any debt due

What do we use your personal data for

Protecting your personal information is extremely important to Robertson Gemini Ltd. We do not disclose any information we hold about you to any third party except for the information we keep which relates to ‘Legitimate Interests’, namely, personal contact details for purposes of contacting you regarding the booking of our services relating to the servicing, repairing and MOT tests of your vehicles and subsequently any invoices or information relating to such services. As part this process we do contact the DVLA, Autodata and parts companies which all directly relate to the services we provide to you.

Do you have to provide your personal data to us

It would be very difficult for us to provide any of our services to you without the information mentioned above but you do have the right to withhold such information, clearly this would not be a satisfactory situation for us to complete our service to you

Changes to personal data

If your personal data changes for any reason, e.g. telephone numbers, email address, house address then do contact us and notify the changes

How long do we keep you personal data

We only keep your personal data for the duration of your custom with RGL and when we are informed on of the termination of such services we then remove your data  from our records

Your Rights

  • The right to access the personal data that we hold about you
  • The right to make us correct any inaccurate personal data we hold about you
  • The right to make us erase any data we hold about you when we no longer need to use it to achieve the purpose we collected it for
  • Where you object to the way we use your data and there is no overriding legitimate interest
  • The right to object to our using your personal data we hold about you including for the purposes of sending marketing materials ( in our case notifications of MOTs and service reminders and overdue account payments )
  • Your right to withdraw your consent when we are relying on it for ‘legitimate interests’ to enable us to provide our services to you
